Wellllllll…… We note that Larry has been at the computer once again, and has been doing a bit of blogging on his own, but tonight he is laid up in bed, with a bit of a cold, as we have been in Napier since yesterday, and its cold enough to freeze the…..well, lets just say Larry is a bit cold and grumpy. Its been a little bit of an up & down, since we arrived in Russell. On our first full day, we went to see our block of land that we planned on buying – only to find a big nasty red SOLD sign on it! Journeying!
So its been a busy few days since we left the great AU. I was strapped in on the plane, and I’ve got to say that it made me feel a lil green around the gills, that whole take off business, and there were some clouds that i thought were marshmallows, but the Parentals told me different!! Once it was all smooth sailing, I was allowed to have a hot chocolate, and that made me feel a lot better 🙂 And I had a lil nap, so that i was super ready for whatever adventures lay ahead…. While they’re away!
Parentals went out…..I got hungry…. The parental told me I’m never allowed to use the stove. So, I found a bankcard they left behind, and borrowed their laptop. They shouldn’t go out with me!!!

At the ready!
The Parentals are busy working out what stuff they need for the trip. Jeans, boots, jackets etc etc etc I was getting a bit concerned, as the short one kept saying things to the tall one, like: “you don’t need that!” “go put that back away, its unnecessary”, & “leave that at home, it’s too heavy”. So – I figured I’d best make very sure I don’t get left behind. I’m at the ready!!! ?

Happy As Larry!
Larry is set up and ready for his trip. He likes going on his little jaunts around this big beautiful world of ours, and has warned us that this time – he might just be hogging the camera a bit. It seems that his mates (Hamish, Molly, Dusk & Blaze) don’t really believe him when he sprouts off about the amazing things he has seen on his travels – so he’s aiming to provide evidence. Or so it seems…. We’ll see…

Counting the beat….
What a busy few months it has been. We had three of the kids living with us since September, but they’ve finally rented their own 3brm place together, all have jobs, and are back to making their way in the world independently once again. Another son has come home to stay since then (we had almost a whole two weeks with the house to ourselves lol), and our daughter, grandson and their 8wk old puppy Harry have been for a visit too – so we’re feeling a bit overloaded with “visitor-stress” at the moment. Movie Day
It’s been cold and rainy today, so we voted for having a snuggle in, and watching movies. We ended up watching “Blended”, which was very very funny; and “The Other Woman”, which has its moments of humour, but was a bit slow all in all. Definitely recommend “Blended” though! 🙂 Now we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention something about realestate! So here is the name for our upcoming NZ home 🙂 We’ll be making a nice carved Maori sign of it for the front entry arch.

Happy Anniversary (again)
This time last year, we got married (again), here in NZ. So today started slowly, with coffee and toast. We sat around watching tele in our jammies, until it was time to get ready to go to lunch. We’d booked the same table at Sally’s that we had last year for our reception 🙂 Enjoyed a lovely feed of fish & chips, and oysters kilpatrick. Was pretty sweet, as they’d run out of oysters, and specially went out and sourced some from the oyster farm, just for US!! It seems we’ve become pretty well known around Russell. “The Girls” are a ‘notorious’ topic and sight, about the town lol 🙂…

Found a house!
Today was busy. We went to Whangarei to a number of house yards (basically second-hand houses) and we ended up finding one we luuurve. Its initial asking price is a bit steep. It’s worth every cent of what they’re asking, but we just don’t happen to have quite that much in the budget right now tho….but we’ll be trying to for it!! A definite diamond in the rough!!

Some awesome places…
Did a couple of house inspections today. We really like 1 particular house, and one vacant section. Both have exquisite views of the marina and bay. Now if we could just find some money…
